Bob & Sarah Amos Band
Saturday, Sept. 23, 5p.m.

Guitarist/banjoist/vocalist Bob Amos is an internationally recognized, award winning and chart topping singer-songwriter who has recorded twelve albums and performed throughout the USA and Europe. His songs have also been recorded by other top national Bluegrass performers. Bob was the leader and founder of the nationally touring band Front Range, who recorded five acclaimed albums for Sugar Hill Records between 1991-2003.
In 2005 Bob came home to Vermont and began performing with his then 13 year old daughter Sarah Amos, who has since developed into a vocalist of remarkable power and sensitivity. Together, their vocal blend is mesmerizing.
The Bob and Sarah Amos Band has been described as a Vermont Bluegrass Supergroup with seasoned and talented pros of the acoustic music scene. The group features Bob and Sarah on lead vocals, with Bob on banjo and guitar. Andy Greene on guitar and Kirk Lord on bass are longstanding highly regarded musicians who have been members of top Vermont bands such as The Revenants, The Bluegrass Gospel Project, The Modern Grass Quintet and Breakaway. Mandolinist Matt Flinner, who moved to Vermont about 10 years ago, is an exceptional musician and widely considered one of the world’s top mandolin players.
Together, the Bob & Sarah Amos Band provide a highly entertaining program, ranging from powerful bluesy bluegrass to beautiful ballads, which is sure to please all fans of acoustic music.
