These guys...every year they drive all the way to Vermont from West Virginia, to play at the Jig-in-the-Valley to raise money for The Fairfield Community Center.
This year, Phil Rolleston and Patrick Gabbert (far right and left respectively) will be bringing some friends with them and as a thank you, we thought we'd give them the stage on the Friday night before the Jig...sort of an ultra-casual House Party, sort of like a kitchen tunk, or a private party in your own living room...
The band is comprised of an eclectic group of musicians occupying the hills and hollers of southern West Virginia, named after the creek that bounds down one of those mountain sides. They play Acoustic Americana music that is rich in harmonies, engaging audiences with good time music.
Rush Run = A creek in Pocahontas County, West Virginia
Philharmonic = The love of music and harmonies
Join us for a pre-Jig Jam at the Meeting House beginning at 7 p.m. Suggested donation at the door - $10 per person. Lite fare and scrumptious desserts, beer and wine available for sale throughout the evening.
Note: This concert may just go on later than 9 p.m.!
