Jennie Johnson & The
Saturday, August 14
If Jenni Johnson offered nothing more than her voice, smooth and sweet as honey, it would be plenty. But that’s only part of what makes her jazz-infused performances unforgettable: With a heart as big as that voice, Jenni takes us on joyous world-wide musical tour with the always excellent Junketeers providing impeccable support.
Jenni's Band, The Junketeers:
Glendon Ingalls (bassist) from Johnson, Vermont is a multi-instrumentalist and maintains an active performance schedule directing and playing with several groups on trumpet, double bass, electric bass and sousaphone in a wide variety of musical genres as well as freelance work.
Gus Zeising (horns) is originally from Philadelphia PA. While in high school, Gus was inspired by saxophonist and fellow Philadelphian John Coltrane. He plays the tenor and soprano saxophones, and the clarinet. He has operated his recording studio, Low Tech, in Burlington, VT since 1989 and has recorded and/or engineered three of Jenniʼs four albums.
Felix Anderson (drums): Originally from Rochester NY, started playing violin at age 4 and later studying piano. Eventually he gravitated towards drums. He moved to Vermont with his wife and children for work and found a great music scene. Felix has played in bands ranging from punk to blues that included Ludovico Treatment, Big Hair, DirtBox5, The Camillians, The James O Halloran Band, Mailbox, New Nile Orchestra and has opened up for Primus and John Lee Hooker. Currently, in addition to playing with Jenni Johnson & The Jazz Junketeers, Felix plays with his group, Gumbo YaYa.
Chuck Miller (keys) is originally from Nebraska. Chuck is choir director and accompanist for several groups and projects. He taught music at the Mary Hogan Elementary School and is now busy playing with The Red Clover Trio, Jenni Johnson, THT Theater and MCP productions. He studied an Berklee College of Music in Boston and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Composition.
